RSP Chair Lamichhane sent to judicial custody – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, JANUARY 12
The Kathmandu District Court has ordered that the Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, be kept in judicial custody.
A single bench led by District Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari issued the order, directing Lamichhane to remain in custody and appear before the court at 10:00 AM on Monday.
Lamichhane was sent to judicial custody as the hearing could not proceed today.
According to Ramu Sharma, Registrar at the Kathmandu District Court, Lamichhane’s statement was recorded concerning allegations of funds embezzlement involving Swarnalaxmi Cooperatives in Kathmandu.
