Samsung Nepal has launched its latest foldable smartphone lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, along with the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2.

The eighth-generation foldable devices feature expanded Galaxy AI capabilities, with the larger displays of the Fold8 series designed to provide more workspace for tasks such as reviewing, comparing and creating content.

Samsung said the launch also introduces an ownership ecosystem focused on affordability, accessibility and sustainability, bringing together financing, trade-in, connectivity and retail programmes.

Under the financing scheme, customers can access a 24-month EMI plan through HFL with a 40 per cent down payment, while Samsung said it plans to extend the tenure to 36 months with a 20 per cent down payment for eligible top-grade customers. Trade-in bonuses of up to Rs 15,000 are also available.

The company said it is working with partners including HFL, eSewa, Ncell, Apkudo, IMS and Him Electronics to integrate financing, connectivity, trade-in and omnichannel services.

Pre-orders for the new Galaxy Z series opened on August 13, with Samsung offering separate VIP and normal packages.

The VIP package includes benefits worth up to Rs 68,000, including two years of Ncell unlimited data and voice, an exchange bonus of up to Rs 15,000, a Rs 10,000 discount on Galaxy Watch9 or Watch Ultra2, six months of Google AI Pro, a phone case and an extended warranty.

The normal pre-order package offers benefits worth up to Rs 58,000, including two years of Ncell unlimited data and voice, an exchange bonus of up to Rs 15,000, six months of Google AI Pro, a phone case and an extended warranty.

Samsung Nepal Managing Director Chang Uk Jung said the company aimed to make the ownership journey around its premium devices “smarter”, while creating greater choice and value for consumers.

The company said eligible trade-in devices would be diagnosed, graded and processed through its partners for potential refurbishment and reuse, with the aim of extending product life and reducing electronic waste.
