British Council honours top IELTS registration partners in Nepal – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

The British Council Nepal has recognised the country’s top-performing IELTS registration partners for their contribution to expanding access to international education, employment and migration opportunities.
At the IELTS Partner Summit 2026 held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the British Council honoured 15 organisations for outstanding performance in IELTS registrations between April 2025 and March 2026.
The summit brought together IELTS registration partners from across Nepal and highlighted the role of consultancies and educational institutions in supporting students and professionals pursuing opportunities abroad.
Pratistha Thapa Rayamajhi, Country Exams Director at the British Council Nepal, said the partners have played a crucial role in helping thousands of Nepali students pursue international education and careers.
She also announced the expansion of the British Council’s IELTS services with the introduction of IELTS on Computer, alongside paper-based testing, offering candidates greater flexibility and faster results.
Sudarshan Subedi, Head of Business Development at the British Council Nepal, said the organisation is also expanding its Corporate English Solutions portfolio to help employers and institutions strengthen workforce readiness and international competitiveness.
Orbit Medical Entrance Pvt Ltd received the Platinum Partner Award, while the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) won the Top Association Award.
KIEC Learning Centre secured the Gold Award, followed by The Next Education Consultancy Pvt Ltd with the Silver Award.
Bronze Awards were presented to Expert Education and Visa Services, AECC Study Abroad Consultants, A.O.P. Global Consultants, IELTS Center Pvt Ltd and Bridge International Group Pvt Ltd.
The British Council also recognised top-performing regional partners through its pre-partner summits. Certificates were presented to The Next Education Consultancy (Chitwan and Hetauda), Expert Education and Visa Services (Ghorahi and Nepalgunj), Sumedha Education Network (Itahari and Biratnagar), Birtamod Education Foundation (Birtamod) and Miracle Institute (Pokhara).
IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP IELTS and Cambridge University Press & Assessment and is recognised by more than 12,000 organisations worldwide.
