Remittance inflows to Nepal increased by 13.2 percent to Rs. 1,356.61 billion during the first ten months of Fiscal Year 2024/25, according to the Nepal Rastra Bank’s (NRB) latest report on the country’s macroeconomic and financial situation.

This growth, reported in the document titled Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation of Nepal (Ten Months Data Ending Mid-May 2025), is lower than last year’s 16.9 percent rise over the same period.

In US dollar terms, remittances rose 10.5 percent to $9.96 billion, compared to a 14.8 percent increase in the previous fiscal period.

In the month of mid-April to mid-May 2025 (Baisakh 2082), remittance inflows reached Rs. 165.30 billion, up from Rs. 115.99 billion in the same month last year.
