Nepal’s Aishworya Shrestha named UN Youth Leader for SDGs – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 30
The United Nations Youth Office announced 17 Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Aishworya Shrestha from Nepal, recognized for her contributions as a social worker and co-founder of Heart of Nepal and Antardhoni Nepal.
Selected from over 33,000 applicants across 150 countries, the 2025 cohort includes young changemakers working across sustainable development, human rights, and peace initiatives. The group represents a diverse range of roles including artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and community mobilizers.
Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, said, “This cohort reflects the courage, creativity, and commitment of young people reshaping the future, addressing global challenges from climate to mental health.”
