KATHMANDU, AUGUST 31

The 18th NADA Auto Show concluded at Bhrikutimandap on Sunday, bringing together more than 200 stalls showcasing vehicles, auto components, financial services and other mobility-related products.

The exhibition, organised by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal to mark its 50th Golden Jubilee, was held from August 25 to 30. It featured 25 passenger vehicle brands, 17 light commercial vehicle brands, 13 two-wheeler brands and 15 banks, financial institutions and insurance companies.

New four-wheelers and two-wheelers, particularly electric vehicles, were among the main attractions. Models from BYD, Tata, Deepal, Nami, Avatr, JAECOO, Chery and Dongfeng were showcased, with several models introduced to the Nepali market for the first time.

Banks and financial institutions also competed to attract buyers through auto-loan schemes, including reduced interest rates, service-charge waivers and special financing offers for electric vehicles.

The exhibition was held amid widespread floods and landslides across the country. NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti said the decision to continue the event reflected the industry’s determination to remain active despite the disasters.

The association said the auto show was also aimed at promoting discussion on the future of Nepal’s automobile and mobility sector under the theme “From Industry to Employment”.

The five Best Stall Awards were presented in the following categories:

  • Passenger Cars: BYD, represented by Cimex Inc Pvt Ltd
