Makwanpur. The election process of the Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been successfully completed today. The election saw a tough competition between Anil Agarwal and Pramod Singh Ranabhatt for the position of president.

The voting concluded at 4 PM today, with a total of 1816 votes cast out of 2066 eligible voters. The votes were distributed as follows: 26 from the business sector, 81 from the associates, 555 from the industrial sector, and 1154 from the commercial sector. The vote counting will begin at 8 PM tonight.

This election is not only significant for the business community of Makwanpur but also indicates its potential impact on the politics and commerce of the entire province. The 58th convention of the Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has garnered attention from businesspeople across the province and has added excitement to the local political environment. While some officials have been elected unopposed, the selection of other members is still underway through the voting process. Additionally, seven officials have been selected unanimously.

Anil Agarwal, a candidate for the president’s position, has the support of Indra Bahadur Baniya, the president of the Nepali Congress in Bagmati Province, while Pramod Singh Ranabhatt has received the backing of Congress central committee member Dina Upadhyay and leader Anand Ram Parajuli. This has made the election even more competitive.
