Gold price continued their sharp rally in the domestic market on Thursday, surging by Rs 8,000 per tola in a single day to bring the two-day gain to Rs 12,200 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Fine gold is being traded at Rs 296,000 per tola on Thursday, up from Rs 288,000 on Wednesday and Rs 283,800 on Tuesday. The precious metal had already gained Rs 4,200 per tola on Wednesday before posting Thursday’s steeper increase.
Silver price also moved higher, rising Rs 95 per tola to Rs 4,570, compared with Rs 4,475 on Wednesday.
The continued rise has pushed gold within Rs 4,000 of the Rs 300,000-per-tola milestone, reflecting sustained strength in the domestic bullion market.
