The bridge’s superstructure is finished, with ongoing work focused on wall construction and soil filling. Built under a Rs 247 million contract with Lumbini–Rajendra–Kumar–Shrestha JV, the project began in 2016 with a three-year timeline but has faced repeated delays.
Only Rs 4 million has been allocated for the current fiscal year, while an additional Rs 40 million is needed to finalize the project. Once completed, the bridge will provide safe and convenient travel for residents of Lajhadi, Shuklaphanta, and Krishnapur, locals said.
