Global IME Bank offers auto loans at 5.25% interest – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 12

Global IME Bank has announced a special auto loan scheme offering interest rates starting at 5.25 percent for customers purchasing vehicles during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.

Under the scheme, customers purchasing new vehicles at the expo can obtain auto loans by paying a minimum premium of 0.5 percentage points over the bank’s base rate. Based on the current base rate, the minimum applicable interest rate is 5.25 percent.

The interest rate will be adjusted automatically in line with changes in the bank’s base rate, the bank said.

For customers purchasing new electric vehicles, the bank has also introduced a fixed interest rate of 5.99 percent for three years. After the three-year period, the loan will carry the bank’s base rate plus a maximum premium of two percentage points.

The bank has set up a stall at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo where prospective vehicle buyers can apply for loans and complete the initial loan process. It said customers will receive loan approval within a maximum of three days after submitting the required documents.

Global IME Bank currently operates 341 branches, 366 ATMs, 147 branchless banking outlets and 69 extension and revenue collection counters, along with three representative offices abroad.
