Gold price rises Rs 4,800 per tola – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 9
The price of fine gold rose by Rs 4,800 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday, reaching Rs 301,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold was traded at Rs 296,900 per tola on Friday. With Sunday’s increase, the precious metal has gained Rs 17,700 per tola in the last seven days.
Meanwhile, silver also became dearer by Rs 65 per tola to Rs 4,645. It was priced at Rs 4,580 per tola on Friday.
The international gold price stood at $4,030 per ounce, while silver was trading at $57.41 per ounce. The US dollar exchange rate was Rs 152.74.
