Gautam to lead Health Ministry, Shrestha reassigned to Land Management portfolio
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 26
Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to expand her Cabinet today by inducting four new ministers.
The oath-taking ceremony has been scheduled for 2:30 pm this afternoon at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, where the newly appointed ministers will take the oath of office and secrecy.
The incoming ministers are Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam, Ganapati Lal Shrestha, Khagendra Sunar, and Bablu Gupta. As per the planned portfolio allocation, Dr. Gautam will head the Ministry of Health and Population, Sunar will take charge of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Gupta will lead the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Ganapati Lal Shrestha, who was earlier expected to lead the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
Prior to this, Anil Kumar Sinha had been handling the Land Management portfolio alongside the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
