KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 11
Global mobility and delivery platform inDrive has contributed Rs 75 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, rehabilitation and recovery efforts for communities affected by the recent floods.
The contribution was handed over to Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle in Kathmandu on September 9 in the presence of representatives from inDrive Nepal.
The company said the contribution followed the August 26 Bhote Koshi flood, which caused extensive damage in Rasuwa and downstream areas, including parts of Nuwakot and Dhading.
inDrive has also provided direct relief to flood-affected families in Bidur Municipality-9, Nuwakot. The assistance included food, solar lights, induction stoves, blankets and sanitary pads.
Arsen Tomsky, founder and chief executive officer of inDrive, expressed condolences to families who lost loved ones and said the company hoped its contribution would support immediate relief and help affected communities recover and rebuild.
