Global IME Bank wins Global Finance ‘Best Bank Award’ for second consecutive year – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

Global IME Bank Limited has been honored with the “Best Bank Award 2025” by Global Finance Magazine for the second consecutive year. The award was presented to Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and CEO Surendra Raj Regmi during a ceremony held in the United States on Saturday.
The recognition was based on several performance parameters, including financial stability, resource mobilization, service innovation, and expansion of banking access across Nepal.
Expressing gratitude, Chairman Dhakal said the award has further motivated the bank to continue delivering excellent and customer-centric services.
Global IME Bank remains the first Nepali bank to receive this global honor. Other winners in Asia included HSBC (Hong Kong), State Bank of India (India), China Construction Bank (China), and UOB Malaysia (Malaysia).
The bank operates in all 77 districts of Nepal through more than 1,000 service outlets, including branches, ATMs, and representative offices, while also facilitating global remittance services from over a dozen countries.
