KATHMANDU, OCTOBERE 26

Two newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy today at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas.

President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath to Dr. Sudha Gautam, Minister for Health and Population, and Bablu Gupta, Minister for Youth and Sports, during a special ceremony held in the afternoon.

Earlier in the day, four ministers were expected to take the oath; however, only two took office as scheduled.

Dr. Gautam is a former Secretary at the Ministry of Health, while Gupta is known as a leading figure in the Gen-Z movement. Both were appointed on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

With this expansion, the size of the Council of Ministers formed on September 12 has now reached ten. The Cabinet was previously expanded on September 15 and September 22.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Karki, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, senior government officials, and representatives from security agencies.
