Himal Dental Hospital appoints Dr. Niranjan Acharya as CEO – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 18

Himal Dental Hospital and Institute of Dental Sciences Ltd., which is preparing to issue an initial public offering (IPO), has appointed Dr Niranjan Acharya as its chief executive officer (CEO).

The company said the appointment was aimed at strengthening its management and advancing its service expansion, institutional development and business plans.

Acharya will oversee the hospital’s overall management, expansion of services, improvement of service quality and implementation of its strategic plans. The company said his responsibilities would also include promoting the use of modern technology to provide quality dental care and further strengthening the institution’s dental education and healthcare services.

Established in 2003, Himal Dental Hospital has been providing dental healthcare services for more than two decades. The hospital offers specialised dental treatment and services including dental implants, 3D CBCT X-ray, milling technology, laser dentistry and operation theatre facilities.

The institution also operates the Himal Institute of Dental Sciences, through which it provides dental education and technical and professional programmes.

The company said it plans to expand both its dental healthcare and education services in the coming years.

Himal Dental Hospital and Institute of Dental Sciences is currently in the process of issuing an IPO. The company is preparing to issue 20 percent of its issued capital to the general public.

It has appointed Muktinath Capital Ltd. as the issue and sales manager for the IPO.

The company said the appointment of Acharya comes as it prepares for the next phase of institutional development and service expansion alongside the IPO process.

According to Dr Rajendra Bhatta, chairman of the hospital, Himal Dental Hospital was established with the objective of expanding access to quality dental services across Nepal, particularly in areas where modern dental care remains limited. It has also focused on providing services to disadvantaged and underserved communities through dental camps and clinics.

Chair Bhatta says its broader objectives include providing preventive and curative dental services, developing a network of dental clinics, offering charitable services to needy communities and producing dental human resources in line with the country’s requirements.
