Gold, silver prices rise in domestic market – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, MAY 29
Gold and silver prices increased sharply in the domestic market today, with gold rising by Rs 5,600 per tola and silver by Rs 175 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 290,600 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,040 per tola today.
On Thursday, fine gold was traded at Rs 285,000 per tola and silver at Rs 4,865 per tola. Likewise, on Wednesday, gold was priced at Rs 290,500 per tola and silver at Rs 5,080 per tola.
International media reports stated that gold was being traded at around 4,500 US dollars per ounce and silver at 77 US dollars per ounce in the international market today.
