MetLife Nepal has launched its services in Jumla, expanding insurance access to one of the country’s most remote regions.

The new agency office aims to provide financial protection, promote financial literacy and create local employment opportunities. The company said the expansion is part of its strategy to extend insurance coverage to underserved communities.

As part of its community support initiative, MetLife Nepal, in partnership with Surya Social Service Society, has donated smart boards to Chandannath Higher Secondary School and Janata Secondary School to enhance digital learning.

The company is also conducting insurance awareness programmes targeting youth to encourage responsible financial planning.

Speaking at the inauguration, General Manager Nirmal Kajee Shrestha said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to expanding financial security while supporting education and long-term community development.
