Twenty-one injured in seven-vehicle collision in Chitwan – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 18
At least 21 people were injured when seven vehicles collided in a chain accident at Gaighat, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, this morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal, the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when a truck heading from Muglin to Narayangadh collided with a bus, triggering a pile-up involving five other vehicles-a trailer, an electric microbus, another bus, a Bolero, and a car.
The injured were taken to Chitwan Medical College, Janata Care Hospital, and National City Hospital for treatment.
Police said 13 are receiving care at National City Hospital, four at Chitwan Medical College, and four at Janata Care Hospital.
Further investigation into the accident is underway.
