KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 16

Three young girls lost their lives after drowning while fishing in the Sisne Khola rivulet at Gauradaha Municipality-9, Jhapa, today afternoon.

According to police, the victims have been identified as seven-year-old Sushma Magar and nine-year-old Swikriti Magar, daughters of local resident Anju Magar, and Roshni Pariyar, 11, daughter of Nirmala Pariyar.

The District Police Office, Jhapa, said the girls were fishing when they drowned. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
