KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 30

Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Nepal has completed its Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data programme and launched a new batch for Coding and Programming, as part of its ongoing efforts to build digital skills among Nepali youth.

The AI and Big Data programme was conducted from June 27 to December 31, 2025, providing students with hands-on training, industry-oriented learning, and exposure to emerging technologies. Graduating students were awarded certificates at a ceremony held in Kathmandu.

Alongside the graduation, SIC formally welcomed a new cohort of students enrolling in its Coding and Programming course, which combines technical training with soft skills aimed at improving employability, creativity, and problem-solving capacity.

Speaking at the programme, Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal, said the initiative was part of Samsung’s long-term commitment to strengthening Nepal’s digital capabilities by preparing young people for future technological demands.

The SIC curriculum focuses on practical learning, requiring participants to have foundational knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and programming. Students also work on real-world projects using technologies such as AI, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and coding applications.

The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by senior academic officials, including representatives from Pulchowk Campus and the Institute of Engineering, underscoring collaboration between industry and academia.

Samsung Innovation Campus Nepal has been operating since 2023 under Samsung’s global corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting education and innovation.
