Parbati Karki of Dhading wins Rs. 1 crore in Ncell’s Crorepati Campaign – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

Parbati Karki, a resident of Gangajamuna Rural Municipality-6, Dhading, has won the Rs. 1 crore bumper prize in Ncell’s Sadhain ON Crorepati campaign.
The announcement was made at a formal prize distribution event held at Ncell ICON, Lainchaur. Karki, who has been a loyal Ncell customer for eight years, became eligible for the draw after purchasing a Basic Renewal Pack worth Rs. 99 during the third week of the campaign.
The campaign, which ran from June 15 to July 16, awarded weekly cash prizes of Rs. 100,000 to 50 customers and a final bumper prize of Rs. 1 crore.
Karki, a Female Community Health Volunteer, shared a deeply personal journey, recalling the loss of her infant son and home during the 2015 earthquake, financial struggles, and her husband’s continued employment abroad in Bahrain.
“Keep working hard; one day your efforts will pay off,” she said, stating she would use the prize to repay debts, reunite her family, and invest in her son’s future.
“This prize feels like a reward for all those years of hardship. I am deeply grateful to the Ncell family for recognising my journey.”
Enamul Kabir, CFO of Ncell, congratulated Karki, calling her story “one of hope” and reaffirming the company’s commitment to delivering on its promises.
The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) discontinued the campaign on July 17. Of the 50 weekly winners, 36 have received their prizes, while 15 are undergoing verification, Ncell confirmed.
