Kailali Customs Office collects Rs 1.79 billion in three months – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

The Kailali Customs Office has collected Rs 1.79 billion in revenue during the first three months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, according to the office.
Of the total, Rs 696.7 million came from customs tariffs, Rs 689.8 million from VAT, Rs 50 million from excise duty, and Rs 355.8 million from other headings, said Information Officer Khim Prasad Aryal.
The office achieved only 18.46 percent of its annual target of Rs 9.71 billion in the period. Last fiscal year, it had collected Rs 8.66 billion in total.
