The price of gold has crossed the historic threshold of Rs 250,000 per tola in the domestic market, setting a new all-time high.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold rose by Rs 2,000 per tola on Wednesday to reach Rs 250,900 per tola, up from Rs 248,900 the previous day.
With this, the fine gold price has surged by Rs 12,900 per tola in just one week, continuing its strong post-festival rally.
Silver prices have also recorded notable gains, rising by Rs 35 per tola to reach Rs 3,275 per tola, compared to Rs 3,240 on Wednesday.
The precious metal has similarly been trading at record highs in recent days, reflecting global market trends and domestic demand.
