KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 19

After several days of steady gains, the price of gold in the domestic market declined sharply by Rs 4,800 per tola on Sunday – marking the first drop in recent weeks.

The fall comes just two days after fine gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 258,000 per tola on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 253,200 per tola.

Similarly, silver prices also followed the downward trend, dropping by Rs 75 per tola to trade at Rs 3,275 per tola. Silver was traded at Rs 3,350 per tola on Friday.
