OPPO has launched the Find X9 in China and announced that the Find X9 series will make its global debut later this month in Barcelona. As a flagship phone, it comes with top-tier features and aims to compete with other leading smartphones. OPPO Find X9 Overview

Display and Design

You’re getting a 6.59-inch flat OLED panel here with 2760 × 1256 resolution. The bezels are razor-thin, measuring 1.15mm on all sides, it supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and a respectable 1,800 nits of global brightness. With local peak brightness for HDR content reaching 3,600 nits on 20% of the screen.

The Find X9’s design marks a significant departure from its predecessor. It features an elegant matte glass back complemented by a matching matte aluminum frame. The most striking change is the camera module, which has been completely reimagined as a distinctive squarish island on the left, replacing the separate circular modules in the center of the Find X8 series.

It comes in four finishes: Mist Black, Frost White, Velvet Titanium, and Light Red. OPPO Find X9 is also IP66, IP68, and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance.

Performance

The Find X9 is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, engineered on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process. We’ve already seen this processor on Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, and we know that its performance leap over last year’s Dimensity 9400 is quite substantial.

More specifically, Dimensity 9500 has a 32% boost in single-core CPU performance and a 17% higher multi-core performance. The new Mali-G1 Ultra GPU also brings an impressive 33% higher peak performance while also being 42% more power efficient.

Whereas the MediaTek NPU 990 on this chip has 2x faster token generation for on-device AI and a 56% lower peak power usage. This chipset is paired with 12/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Similarly, the Find X9 runs on OPPO’s new ColorOS 16 (based on Android 16) on top. ColorOS 16 brings a bunch of improvements in things like system animation and some iOS 26-inspired visual refreshes. There’s deep Google Gemini AI integration plus OPPO’s in-house AI tools like AI Portrait Glow, AI Recorder, and AI Mind Space as well. The company promises 5 major OS updates and 6 years of security patches for the Find X9 series.

Camera system

Onto optics, you’ve got the Hasselblad Master Camera System powered by OPPO’s “LUMO Image Engine” for computational photography on the Find X9 series. The vanilla Find X9 uses a 50MP Sony LYT-808 (1/1.4″) sensor with f/1.6 aperture and OIS.

For zoom shots, there’s a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, while ultrawide duty is handled by a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor (1/2.75″) with a 15mm focal length.

There’s also what OPPO calls “True Color Camera”, a 9-channel multi-spectral sensor that helps with accurate color reproduction. Up front, you’ve got a 32MP selfie shooter. Battery and charging

This guy packs a massive 7,025 mAh battery using third-generation silicon-carbon tech. That’s a 1,395 mAh jump over the Find X8. OPPO claims up to 2 days of average usage, and battery health should stay at 80% or above even after 5 years. Meanwhile, it gets its juice from a big 80W wired charger. You also get 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging options.

Other features

Among all the other things, the OPPO Find X9 finally gets an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which was missing on OPPO’s old flagships. Wireless connectivity options are typical with 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.
