Award-winning Chery Q EV to debut at NAIMA Mobility Expo – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

KATHMANDU, JULY 17

Chery’s award-winning electric urban crossover, the Chery Q, is set to make its Nepal debut at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, its authorised distributor Pioneer Moto Corp. announced.

The company said the fully electric crossover will be showcased at the six-day auto exhibition scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from August 11 to 16.

The Chery Q recently won the 2025 Red Dot Design Award and the 2026 iF Design Award, two of the world’s most prestigious honours for product design. The Red Dot jury recognised the vehicle for its distinctive styling, innovative design philosophy and integration of functionality with aesthetics.

Targeted at urban commuters, the Chery Q features a minimalist exterior, signature lighting elements and a spacious cabin. The vehicle is powered by a 41.2 kWh battery paired with a 90 kW electric motor, offering an estimated driving range of up to 400 kilometres (NEDC).

Built on a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) platform, the electric crossover is designed to deliver both driving efficiency and performance for city use.

Pioneer Moto Corp. said the NAIMA Mobility Expo will provide Nepali customers with their first opportunity to experience the internationally recognised electric vehicle, as the domestic EV market continues to expand.
