KATHMANDU, JULY 16
Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel has donated food, hygiene and medical supplies to Om Disabled Child Care Home in Syuchatar as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities marking the hotel’s seventh anniversary.
The support was provided during a CSR programme held on July 13 at the care home, which houses 35 children and young adults aged between three and 16 years with disabilities and those requiring a safe living environment.
According to the hotel, employees also contributed clothing, groceries, toys, books and other essential items to support the residents. The initiative aimed to help meet the home’s day-to-day needs while encouraging community engagement.
General Manager Vikram Singh said the programme reflected the hotel’s commitment to extending hospitality beyond its guests by supporting local communities. He said the collective efforts of hotel associates demonstrated compassion and a shared commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults.
The hotel said the initiative forms part of its ongoing CSR programme and aligns with Marriott International’s “Serve 360” community engagement framework.
Located in Kathmandu’s Thamel area, Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio and says it regularly undertakes sustainability and community support initiatives alongside its hospitality operations.
