KATHMANDU, JULY 13

Škoda Nepal has launched the facelifted Kushaq SUV in the Nepali market, introducing updated features, two turbo-petrol engine options and a new maintenance package aimed at enhancing ownership experience.

The new Kushaq was unveiled at the Škoda showroom in Kathmandu by MAW Group Chairman Vishnu Kumar Agarwal and MAW Expanze CEO Raunak Agarwal in the presence of business partners, media representatives and invited guests.

According to the company, the facelifted Kushaq is available with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a DSG gearbox, depending on the variant.

The SUV also features a rear-seat massage function, a premium feature the company says is uncommon in its segment.

Škoda Nepal has priced the new Kushaq from Rs 5.79 million. The company has also introduced the “Promise of 12” maintenance programme, under which customers can receive annual scheduled maintenance at a fixed cost of Rs 12,000 every 12 months or after 12,000 kilometres. The service will be available through the company’s 12 service locations nationwide.

Speaking at the launch, Vishnu Kumar Agarwal said the new model aims to make European engineering more accessible to Nepali customers without significantly increasing ownership costs.

Raunak Agarwal said the facelifted Kushaq has been designed for customers seeking a balance of performance, driving dynamics and comfort.

Škoda Nepal, represented by MAW Vriddhi, offers a range of passenger vehicles in Nepal through a nationwide network of showrooms and service centres. The company says it continues to expand its presence by introducing models tailored to Nepal’s road conditions and customer preferences.
