WorldLink wins Carlsberg Corporate Futsal Tournament – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

KATHMANDU, JUNE 25

WorldLink Communication emerged as the champion of the Carlsberg Corporate Futsal Tournament, defeating Ncell 2-1 in the final held in Kathmandu.

The two-day tournament, organized by Carlsberg on June 20 and 21, brought together 12 leading corporate houses from sectors including banking, telecommunications, aviation, retail, technology, insurance and legal services.

Participating companies included Big Mart, Buddha Air, CloudFactory Nepal, Daraz Nepal, Gorkha Brewery, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Ncell, Pioneer Law Associates, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, Subisu Cablenet and WorldLink Communication.

WorldLink secured the title after an intense final against Ncell, while several individual awards were also presented. Manjil Maharjan of WorldLink was named Player of the Final, Prajwol Prajapati of Ncell received the Player of the Tournament award, Dipesh Sapkota of WorldLink was adjudged Best Goalkeeper, and Bikash Rajbahak of WorldLink finished as the tournament’s top scorer.

Organizers said the tournament aimed to promote networking, teamwork and sportsmanship among Nepal’s corporate community through football.

Rojan Amatya, Marketing Director of Gorkha Brewery, said the initiative was intended to provide a platform for corporate professionals to connect and celebrate their shared passion for the sport.

The tournament formed part of Carlsberg Summer Football, a campaign designed to engage football fans and strengthen community connections through sporting activities.
