Himalaya Airlines to launch direct Kathmandu-Shenzhen flights from June 4 – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper

Himalaya Airlines has announced the launch of direct scheduled flights between Kathmandu and Shenzhen, China, beginning June 4.

With the new service, the airline claims to become the first commercial carrier to operate direct scheduled flights on the Kathmandu–Shenzhen–Kathmandu route.

According to the airline, the new route will establish a direct air link between Nepal and Shenzhen, one of China’s leading economic and technology hubs.

The airline said the flights are expected to support tourism, trade and business connectivity between Nepal and China, particularly during Nepal’s lean tourism season.

Initially, Himalaya Airlines will operate two weekly flights on the route. Flights from Kathmandu will depart every Tuesday and Thursday, while return flights from Shenzhen will operate every Wednesday and Friday.

Vice-President of Himalaya Airlines Vijay Shrestha said the airline aimed to strengthen Nepal-China connectivity and provide quality travel services through the new route.

Passengers can book tickets through the airline’s ticketing counters, authorised travel agencies, official website and mobile application.
