NEPSE falls 10 points; Daily turnover at Rs 3.29 billion – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, MAY 14
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 10.07 points, or 0.36 percent, on Thursday to close at 2,730.17.
The sensitive index also dropped by 0.07 percent, while the float index fell by 0.31 percent.
Sector-wise, the market remained largely negative, with only three groups posting gains. Life insurance edged up by 0.01 percent, mutual funds by 0.08 percent and trading by 0.32 percent. Among the losers, the ‘Others’ group recorded the highest decline of around 2 percent, while losses in other sectors remained below 1 percent.
The total daily turnover stood at Rs 3.29 billion, with 7,958,752 shares traded through 46,402 transactions involving 337 scrips.
Total market capitalisation reached Rs 4.66 trillion, with float market capitalisation at Rs 1.55 trillion.
In individual stock performance, 80 scrips advanced, 174 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
