Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha named acting NEA chief – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
KATHMANDU, May 14
Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha has been appointed acting executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha made the appointment on Thursday through a ministerial decision.
Shrestha, who has been serving as officiating executive director, has nearly three decades of experience at the NEA. He joined the authority as a seventh-level officer in 2054 BS (1997-98).
The minister also appointed two members to the NEA board. Anshukiran Shahi has been nominated from the private sector, while Krishna Basel will represent consumers.
